QUICK ANSWER

What does a PCOS or PCOD diet plan actually involve?

A PCOS or PCOD diet plan works by lowering insulin resistance — the driver behind irregular cycles, weight gain and cravings. Both conditions are managed the same way through food: low-glycaemic, higher in protein and anti-inflammatory, built from Indian staples like dal, millets, curd and seasonal vegetables. At Nutritics by Sejal the plan starts from your actual bloodwork (insulin, LH/FSH, testosterone, TSH) and is adjusted month to month against your cycle, symptoms and weight trend — not fixed as a one-time chart.

WHO IT'S FOR

This program is built for you if…

Diagnosed PCOS or PCOD

You have a scan or lab confirmation and want a food-first plan alongside your gynaecologist's advice.

Irregular or missing cycles

Periods that arrive late, skip months, or stopped altogether without a clear structural cause.

Insulin resistance

High fasting insulin or HbA1c creeping up, with constant hunger and afternoon energy crashes.

Hypothyroidism alongside PCOS

TSH on medication but weight, fatigue and hair fall are not settling.

Weight that won't move

You eat less, walk more, and the scale still refuses — the usual calorie advice has stopped working.

Planning a pregnancy

You want cycles and metabolic markers in a healthier range before trying to conceive.

WHAT YOU GET

Everything included in the PCOS & PCOD program

Lab review

Insulin, LH/FSH, testosterone, DHEAS, prolactin, TSH/T3/T4, Vitamin D and B12 read together — not in isolation.

Low-glycaemic Indian meal plan

Roti, rice, dal and family meals stay in. Portions, pairings and timing change; the food does not.

Cycle-aware adjustments

Plans are tracked against your cycle and revised as symptoms, weight and bloodwork shift.

Supplement guidance

Inositol, Vitamin D, B12 and others discussed alongside — never instead of — your treating doctor.

PCOS & PCOD recipe guide

Program-specific Indian recipes so the plan is something you can actually cook on a weekday.

WhatsApp support

Real-time guidance between sessions — travel, weddings, festivals, and moments of doubt.

Follow-up consultations

Progress reviewed on energy, digestion, cycles and bloodwork — not only the scale.

Unlimited plan revisions

Revised as many times as needed. Never billed as a fresh consultation.

WHY DT. SEJAL

Treated by a clinical dietitian, not a diet chart

Dt. Sejal Ahuja holds an MSc in Nutrition and Dietetics from Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, graduating First with Distinction. Over 4+ years she has worked through 1000+ consultations, with PCOS, PCOD and hormonal health as her core focus.

Her hospital internship used standardised, pre-made diet charts with no room for personalisation — which is precisely what this practice was built to avoid. Every plan here starts from your bloodwork and your kitchen.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Realistic outcomes, in the order they usually arrive

Weeks 1–4

Energy and digestion

Fewer afternoon crashes, less bloating, cravings beginning to settle as meals get restructured.

Months 2–3

Cycles and weight

Cycles typically start becoming more predictable; steady, non-crash weight change begins to show.

Months 4–6

Bloodwork

Repeat labs usually reflect improvement in insulin and related markers, reviewed against your baseline.

Individual results vary. Timelines depend on your starting point, medication, consistency and other medical conditions. Nutrition support complements — and does not replace — care from your treating doctor.

PROGRAM DURATIONS

How the program investment works

The PCOS & PCOD program runs in three durations — 1, 3 and 6 months. We keep it reasonably priced while still providing personalised, high-quality care, so rather than listing a flat fee we first understand your diagnosis, goals and routine on the free 15-minute discovery call. The applicable program investment and everything it includes are explained clearly on that call, with no obligation to continue.

1 month

A focused reset — best if you want to test the approach first.

3 months

The most chosen duration for PCOS — long enough for cycles to respond.

6 months

Deepest support, with repeat bloodwork reviewed against your baseline.

Program switching is not available — a 1-month program cannot later be converted by paying the difference. Plan revisions and follow-ups are fully included at no extra consultation fee.

FAQ

Questions about the PCOS & PCOD program

Can PCOS & PCOD be reversed with diet alone?

PCOS is managed rather than cured, but diet is the single most modifiable factor. Lowering insulin resistance through a low-glycaemic, higher-protein pattern is what typically improves cycle regularity, cravings and weight. Diet works alongside your gynaecologist's treatment, not instead of it.

How long before my periods become regular?

Most clients see cycles becoming more predictable somewhere in months 2–3, though this varies with your starting point, medication, thyroid status and consistency. Some see change sooner; others take longer.

Do I need blood tests before starting?

Not mandatory. Helpful reports include fasting insulin and glucose, HbA1c, a hormonal panel (LH, FSH, testosterone, DHEAS, prolactin), thyroid profile, AMH, and Vitamin D and B12. If you have none, Dt. Sejal will tell you exactly which tests to get after the first consultation.

Will I have to give up rice and roti?

No. The plan is built from Indian staples — dal, rice, roti, millets, curd and seasonal vegetables. What changes is portion size, food pairing and meal timing, not the food itself. There are no meal-replacement shakes or imported ingredients.

Is this available online if I'm not in Delhi?

Yes. The PCOS program runs online across India and for clients in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, the UAE and the Netherlands, with the same assessment depth, lab review and WhatsApp support as in-clinic.

I have PCOS and hypothyroidism together — is that handled?

Yes. Thyroid status is reviewed alongside insulin and hormonal markers, since the two conditions frequently overlap and each affects how the other responds to nutrition.

Are plan revisions included?

Yes. Your plan can be revised as many times as needed based on progress, preferences, routine and medical requirements. Revisions and follow-ups during an active program are never billed as a new consultation.
